Privacypolicy
NXTGEN takes care of your data. Below you can read, in plain language, what information we collect through drinknxtgen.com, why, and what your rights are. The Dutch version of this policy is the original; if the two ever differ, the Dutch version applies.
Who we are
NXTGEN Nutrition is a sports nutrition brand in development, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We are responsible (the controller) for processing the personal data you give us through this website. Send questions or requests to [email protected].
What information we process
When you sign up for the waitlist: your email address. If you fill them in yourself, also your first name, your sport, your flavour preference, your city and whether you want to join the taste panel. We also store when you signed up and which source brought you to the site, such as a shared link or social media. If you came in through someone else’s share link, we remember that link. We also store which language you used the site in, Dutch or English, so we can email you in that language.
If you fill in the short survey after signing up: your answers about how often you drink energy drinks or protein shakes, which brand you usually pick, what you would pay for a can and whether you would pre-order a tray. The survey is voluntary; you can skip it.
If you register interest on behalf of a club or gym: the name of the club, the type of club, the city, your name, your role, your email address, your phone number if you fill it in, the number of members, your message and which language you used the site in.
If you request the investor dossier: your name, your email address, your organisation if you fill it in, what kind of investor you are, your message and which language you used the page in (Dutch or English), so you receive the dossier in that language. If you receive a personal link to the dossier or the investor portal, we store when you opened it, how far you read and for how long. If you schedule a call through the dossier or the portal, we keep the time, how you want to talk, your message and, if you choose a phone call, your phone number. We only use this to follow up with you personally.
To prevent spam: an encrypted (hashed) version of your IP address. We only use it to count how often a form is sent from the same address, and we delete it within 24 hours.
Anonymous statistics: we count how many visits the site gets, through which channel people arrive (for example Instagram or a shared link), how far they scroll and which buttons they click, such as opening the can or the form. We only store totals per day. No name, email address, IP address or device ID is attached, so these figures cannot be traced back to you.
What we use it for
- To keep you posted about NXTGEN: the flavour development, the first production run and the launch.
- To invite you to the taste panel, if you ticked that box.
- To get in touch with your club or gym about selling NXTGEN.
- To send you the dossier as a (potential) investor, get in touch with you and keep you up to date.
- To understand what athletes want, such as the price and the moment they would drink NXTGEN, so we can shape the product around it.
- To improve the website with the anonymous statistics.
- To prevent abuse and spam.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t send spam and we don’t use your data for any other purpose.
Legal basis
For the waitlist and the taste panel, we ask for your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time. For contact with clubs and gyms and with (potential) investors, the basis is also your consent, as well as our legitimate interest in responding to your request. For preventing spam, it is our legitimate interest.
Age
You must be 16 or older to sign up. NXTGEN contains caffeine and is not intended for children.
How long we keep your data
For as long as you want to stay on the list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will. In any case, we delete it no later than 24 months after you signed up or after our last contact.
Who we share data with
We don’t share your data with others for their own purposes. This website and the database run on Cloudflare, which acts as our processor; we choose storage within the European Union. For email notifications about a dossier request or a scheduled call, we use Resend, which acts as our processor for this; such a notification contains your name, your email address and what you filled in. If we start using an email service to send updates later on, we will also make agreements with that party about protecting your data.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. If you choose a language yourself with the NL / EN switch, we remember that choice for one year in a single functional cookie (nxt_lang, containing only the value nl or en), so you land in your language straight away next time. If you don’t choose, we pick the language on each visit based on your browser’s language and the country you open the site from. Cloudflare derives that country from your IP address; we don’t store it.
In your own browser, we only remember that you are already on the list (so you don’t have to sign up twice) and, while your tab is open, which sections you have already seen, so a visit is only counted once. That information never leaves your device. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service that stores no personal data.
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your data. You can object, restrict the processing, request a copy of your data to take with you and withdraw your consent. Email [email protected] to do so; we respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the data protection authority in your own country.
Security
All connections to this site run over HTTPS. Only we can access the database, with secured access.
Changes
We may update this policy when needed, for example once NXTGEN goes on sale. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
